Camel Pro Coffee Light Roast Limited Edition
In 1964 Gene Romero forged his birth certificate so he could race professionally at Ascot Park riding a Triumph Tiger Cub. His success came quick when he turned Expert in 1966 and was hired by the Triumph factory for 1967.
Unfortunately, a serious accident later that year saw Romero spend 4 months in the hospital with a severe leg injury that threatened amputation. Where the average person would have conceded to the accident and returned to average working-class life, Gene made a full recovery and came back to win his first Grand National in 1968 at the Lincoln Nebraska TT.
His 1970 Championship winning year was captured by Film director Bruce Brown in the famous documentary “On Any Sunday” where he edged out the factory BSA Team of Dick Mann and Jim Rice as well as Factory Harley racer Mert Lawwill. At the age of 22, Gene was the youngest ever recorded Grand National Champion in History.
Our Camel Pro Light roast coffee is smooth, suave and low-key- Just like the “Burrito” Gene Romero was. Every sip of this special blend will have you feeling like a factory racer in a room full of privateers.
