Camel Pro Coffee Medium /Dark Roast Limited Edition

from $3.50

In 1979 Gavin Trippe a famous motorcycle racing promotor created “SUPERBIKERS”

This made for TV racing special is what we now call modern day Supermoto and was premiered on ABC’s Wide World Of Sports. Up until 1979, the concept of joining all the top elite racers from multiple racing disciplines on a track consisting of pavement, dirt and jumps had never been done before and it was a HIT. Factory Honda MotoX racer Steve Wise won the race in 1980 and 1981 against the biggest names in Motorcycle racing.

Honda saw the potential in Steve on the pavement and signed him to go road racing-which he was accomplished at as well. But what he did in 1982 still has old timers shaking their head in what was witnessed the night Steve Wise showed up to the Flattrack season opener TT race at the Houston Astrodome!

Having never raced a Flattrack National before, the TT inside the dome made perfect sense for the accomplished supercross star. Showing up on a CR 480 2 stroke Motox bike with 19” wheels it took Steve some time to get rolling, but once He got up to speed it was remarkable to watch. Steve took the jumps higher and longer then anyone else. He was running non-traditional racing lines like a MotoX racer and was met with very mixed emotions. Some thought he was out of control, some even protested him, but it was to no avail. That night Steve Wise came from the back in a thrilling and spectacular fashion to finish on the podium behind Ricky Graham and team mate Mickey Fay in his only Flattrack race debut. To this day Steve Wise is still argued as one of the absolute best and accomplished American Born Motorcycle Races scoring in Roadracing, Motox AND Flattrack competition.

Our Camel Pro Medium Roast blend coffee is well rounded and mild mannered. Drink it out of your Gold Trophy cup, and make it rain money, because you are a WINNER.
